Shopping at Bicester village

Shopping at Bicester Village

I love nothing more than hitting the high street shops especially on the run up to Christmas. There’s something about actually looking at the items, trying things on. The whole shopping experience in person just beats online convenience for me.

Having just had baby Effie 6 weeks ago, the thought of hitting indoor shopping Centers or our yearly tradition of London at Christmas  just didn’t appeal So I decided to visit Bicester village, A destination for the shopaholics among us.

Home to more than 1,300 boutiques of the world’s leading fashion and lifestyle brands, Bicester is a safe open air shopping experience offering  savings of up to 60% on the recommended retail price, and sometimes more, all year round.

Bicester Village has put safety procedures in place due to covid-19so things may look a little different.

As you arrive there is a white fence around the perimeter of the property now. The only way you can get into the shops is through a white tent, where they have assembled check points. Thermal scanners check your body temperature and you will not be admitted into the village unless you have a normal temperature.

Shopping Bicester Village

As you walk around the village, you will see reminders of what is acceptable and what isn’t. Face coverings must be worn at all times inside the boutiques, and are strongly recommended outside the boutiques in all other areas of the Village. Face coverings are available to purchase in the Village

At nearly every shop, there is an attendant at the door and a maximum number allowed in at one time. At the bigger shops they have a “digital queue.”

Make the most of Bicester’s services

Each time I go back, I’m extremely impressed by the wide range of ‘extra’ services Bicester has to really make your day a luxurious and stress-free experience.

Hands-free Shopping allows you to shop til you drop & relax while they collect & pack all of your purchases ready for you to collect at the end of the day. This service costs £35.

There is also the option for virtual shopping

If you can’t get to the Village you can still shop collections from your favourite brands Virtual Shopping service* offered by participating boutiques.

Simply select your favourite brand from the list and contact them directly to start shopping. Your purchases can be delivered directly to your door.

SIGN UP FOR ADDED DISCOUNT DAYS
Quite often there’s a village-wide added discount day, where you can get up to an extra 20% off your purchases – something that can make a real difference if you’re dropping hundreds of pounds at once. Signing up for Bicester Village’s newsletter will give you advance notice on when this is happening.
